What a fantastic way to conclude an incredible Football Development Programme in Southampton!
The delegation from Real Madrid Academy, Rivers State - comprising 61 young players and 12 coaching and support staff, led by former Super Eagles goalkeeper Idah Peterside - successfully completed their development programme organised and facilitated by Team Nigeria UK Ltd in partnership with Southampton FC.
The programme provided the young players and coaches with valuable international exposure, professional training, education and a first-hand experience of the football development environment in England.
Dur Presentation Day at St Mary's Stadium, the home of Southampton FC, was a fitting conclusion to the programme and a special moment for everyone nvolved.
A very special thank you to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Executive Governor of Rivers State, for making this opportunity possible through the Rivers State Government's commitment to grassroots football development, youth empowerment and creating meaningful opportunities for young athletes.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, nr- Dagogo Wokoma, and the programme coordinator, former Super Eagles goalkeeper Idah Peterside, for their commitment and support in making this project a reality.
Our appreciation also goes to @ukinnigeria and the UK Home Office for their invaluable support throughout the process.
