At 21 years old, Jade Popoola has been named captain of The Green Hawks ahead of Nigeria's historic debut at the Africa Regional Qualifiers 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. Her appointment is another milestone in the Nigeria Netball Federation's mission to build the sport from the ground up - and to do so with the right people leading the way.
