Athletic SC 2022 continues to show what tis possible when grassroots footballis given the right pathway.
Just days after Shina Uthman completed his move to Turkey, another young talent from the club has taken a major step onto the European football scene.
Mubarak Onoruoyiza Uthman, born on 14 August 2008, has joined Apollon FC in Cyprus, marking another important milestone in his young career.
The young attacker has reportedly signed long-term contract that keeps him at the club until May 2028, with an option extending until May 2030.
For me, this iS bigger than just another transfer.
This is exactly what grassroots football should be about --identifying young talents, developing them and creating a genuine pathway for them to compete at higher levels.
Two Athletic SC 2022 talents moving to Europe within days is certainly something worth highlighting.
The Nigerian grassroots is producing.
Mubarak Uthman - congratulations on the next chapter. The journey continues.
